Description
This poor Magpie showed up injured a week ago. Somehow it got a broken & mostly severed leg 
The extended family, that it is a member of frequents my yard & I have a large dish of water for them to drink & bath in. I keep my yard in a natural state to encourage the birds & insects. I have been feeding this guy as it was lame & has gulped down what I left out for it. I don't normally feed the birds as I don't like to interfere with their lives.
I just got an old Sigma 100-300 mm lens today & was testing it out, when this Magpie joined the session
I got this lens as it does not have the UV coatings that current lenses have
