I have been looking at Bees & UV photography.
Here is an interesting video of Bees vision & hive behaviour.

You have very informative and scientific works (gems) on your gallery, they really deserves more attention.

I am amazed about your DIY Spectrometer experiments with different kinds of filters and lightings. Congrats!!!

Thanks for your kind comments Zhou Cong.
IR photography is difficult, but UV is extremely difficult ;)
Money will solve a lot of the problems, but I don't have that, so I have to search out cheaper ways & be happy with the results. It is not like you can walk into any camera store & fill your bag with goodies, but that would be no fun at all ! The learning keep me active.

About the "cheaper ways", do you mean to make DIY UV filter?

I have spent days searching about that, without success...

There is too few materials that blocks both IR and Visible but transparent to UV. =(

This seems that the only alternative is to buy a pro filter.

Cheaper I mean lighting & finding the best price on filters.
There is no DIY UV filter ?
Pro filters are only Baader U & AstroDon Venus.
I have the AstroDon Venus.

I am finding the AstroDon Venus too dark & needs lots of UV lighting.
I am looking at getting a Andover narrow pass 390nm filter.
